CEO/Executive Director/Board Chair Statement
Having been the foundation director for a year, I now have a better grip on what to expect annually from the organization in the way of annual events and board members. I'm also much more familiar with the individuals within the school district, such as the administrators, who I need to work with in applying for grants.

We have spent some time this past year partnering with local businesses to build additional revenue for the educational foundation. We have provided students from our Career Center to a local bank to work in their interested field of finance. This has resulted in two of our students obtaining part time jobs. We also partnered with a local art studio to begin offering weekly painting classes for our students, and students in the surrounding area.

This year we are focused on getting an alumni association established to provide annual events and reunion support to the classes. We are also updating our website to become more user friendly in order to raise more crowd-funded dollars for projects in the schools. We will continue to seek opportunities for funding mental health, early childhood, and updating areas of our schools.

Short-Term Success Having a financial support structure in place for our teachers to have access to funding for special projects is an additional layer of support that our district can provide in recruiting and retaining educators.
Long-Term Success
Funds within the Foundation have been established for teachers to apply for in order to enhance their students’ learning by providing resources that they wouldn’t otherwise have.
Program Success Monitored By Through follow-up reports with the teachers that we have granted monies to, the foundation will assess the success the program is having on the district as a whole.
Examples of Program Success Recently the foundation provided funding to cover the cost for a classroom set of virtual reality headsets to be available to students in the middle school media center. Students have now had the experience of traveling to places such as the pyramids of Egypt, the Eiffel Tower, and even the moon! Each of these experiences is directly linked to the curriculum instructors are using in their classes, providing a more enriching experience for the students.
CEO Comments The Teacher Grants program is funded through contributions from employees taking a Paycheck Pledge, giving a self-selected amount from their paychecks each month. Educators throughout the district can then apply for a classroom grant through the foundation, for activities that go above and beyond what is expected in the regular classroom. There are two opportunities for being funded throughout the year, one in June and another in December.
