The mission of the Midwest Innocence Project (MIP) is to advocate for and obtain the exoneration and release of wrongfully convicted people, primarily in Missouri and Kansas. MIP accepts cases from a six-state region (MO, KS, AR, IO, NE, OK) and provides pro bono investigative and legal assistance to prisoners with persuasive actual innocence claims, provable through scientific evidence or otherwise.
